People to People

So, a few weeks ago I got a letter from an organization called People to People saying that I was nominated to go on a 2-3 week trip next summer to England, Belgium, France, and the Netherlands. My mom and I were really excited and went on the website to read about it and everything. There's an informational meeting in October, but my dad is thinking it's a scam to get money. I don't think it is.

If anyone that reads this knows anything about People to People it would be great if you could enlighten me.
